Traditional Recipe Rich Fruitcake with Brandy, decorated with Fruits and Nuts
I have been using this recipe for over 40 years, adapted from an original recipe I first had in 1977.
Rich, moist, fabulous fruit cake made with vine fruits, glace cherries, spices, citrus fruits, infused with VSOP brandy and matured and fed over time with extra brandy to allow the rich flavours to develop. Covered with fruits and nuts and glazed with apricot jam. Decorated with non-edible festive decorations. Delicious on its own or accompanied with a slice of cheddar cheese, or double/brandy cream.
